"Maggie May" is a song co-written with the late Martin Quittenton and performed by singer Rod Stewart from his album Every Picture Tells a Story, released in 1971. "Maggie May" expresses the ambivalence and contradictory emotions of a boy involved in a relationship with an older woman and was written from Stewart's own experience. One of my favourite songs from the ‘70’s and as It's late September I decided to make an instrumental version and recorded it on my restored 1963 Fender Telecaster.
