A Conversation with Donan Satria Yudha on Treating Snake Bites and Java's Two Green Tree Vipers
Recently, a woman in Yogyakarta reported that her cat had been bitten by a snake. Her description of the snake was simply that it was green and had a red tail. Based on this information alone, we know that this snake is Trimeresurus albolabris, the highly venomous, white-lipped tree viper. I caught up with Donan to gather more information on dealing with snake bites in Indonesia, and how we know this snake to be this specific species (and not its nearby relative, T. insularis). ___ This video is free to download and reuse from the Scenoptica website (https://scenoptica.com).
