Its January and that means we can make our last signing of this season! We are looking at a number of positions and can finally get an upgrade in one of those! We take on Stuttgart and Borussia Dortmund aswell as we look to find some consistent form! Welcome to Saving Schalke, our brand-new series on FC 24. This career mode focuses on one simple thing… Saving FC Schalke 04 from the brink of extinction! With huge financial difficulties Schalke are facing relegation down to the German equivalent of the National League. We are here to bring back the glory days of competing in the Bundesliga and European football! We like to keep these series’ fairly realistic and have some self-imposed rules that we follow; • We get a budget of 3 signings per season + 1 free agent per season. • Every First team affecting player sold adds 1 to the budget. (e.g. we sell a first team defender we are allowed to sign an extra player) • New signings must be lower rated than the current best player at the club. The objective of this save is to win a major trophy with Schalke. That means winning at least one of the following; Bundesliga, DFB Pokal, UEFA Conference League, Europa League, Champions League If you take on this challenge yourself let me know how you get on!
