Phoenix Mosaic: Changing of the Phoenix Head! Fri 4 Oct 2019

I have been given a private commission from Phoenix Psychology, Kenilworth, UK. The commission is to create a logo mosaic using ceramic tile, crockery and glass. The circular mosaic measures 120 cm in diameter. This film was towards the end of the mosaic project, however, I wasn't happy with how the head of the Phoenix looked. One advantage of social media is that folks will constructively comment on the work created, and I am grateful to one person who pointed out how the eye didn't stand out... this led me to appraising the whole of the head and a complete change! I think it looks a lot better now. The next stage is to grout! I'm going to use Mapei Ultracolour Plus range. The white circle will be grouted in Ultracolour Plus 112 Grey and the rest in Ultracolour Plus 144 Chocolate.
