If War Thunder's T-34 was historically accurate (Redux)
Introduced in 1940, the Soviet Union's T-34 medium tank was one of the most important tanks of World War II. Initially it was quite troubled, as though its armor was great and its gun was powerful, it was unreliable and often fell prey to tanks that were technically inferior to it. This situation would be mirrored later in the war, when German tanks grew heavier and less reliable while T-34s became dependable and started to appear in larger numbers. The T-34's troublesome two man turret was replaced with a three man turret and eventually had an 85mm gun installed. The unreliable four speed transmission was replaced by a better five speed one. Visibility was improved overall, and production was streamlined. It is one of the most produced tanks of all time, and still sees action to this day.
