Gerhard Narholz's "Simone", played by Narholz's Orchestra - original Studio One vinyl LP, SO 1
From the first Studio One release, SO 1 - written and conducted by Gerhard Narholz himself! It's a bit repetitive and sounds like it took mild inspiration from "Something Stupid", written by Carson Parks and sung by Frank & Nancy Sinatra, and the Studio One mastering is a bit distorted, but it's still an interesting contrast to more brass-heavy pieces from Narholz & co. Reissued on APM-syndicated "The Happy 60s", at https://www.apmmusic.com/albums/SON_ISCD_0172 which characterizes this as a "soft ballad featuring woodwinds and strings", with a "soft beat" as the original sleeve indicates. It's undistinguished pop, but still well-executed!
