Windows 7 WMP 12 "Server Execution Failed" Fix
Trusted Installer? Read description below. Fixing the "Server Execution Failed" problem on Windows Media Player 12. Operating system: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I swapped the wmplayer.exe file from the 64 bit folder to the 32 bit folder. It seems (As shown in the video) that the thing actually works! I know of the 2 windows WMP icons in the taskbar I pinned the 64-bit on the taskbar - and when the 32 bit runs, it loads 2 icons. TrustedInstaller? 1. Right click the exe. file - Properties. 2. Security - Advanced - Owner 3. Click Edit 4. Click "Other Users and Groups" 5. Type in your PC username then click "CheckNames" 6. select your username in the Owner list and click apply 7. Click OK on the popup, and the two other dialogs. 8. Back onto security, select your username and click "Edit" 9. Select your username again, and choose "Full Control" in the check boxes below. Apply and OK both screens.
