StarCraft II Selecting without Selecting your Workers

Selecting wtihout selecting your workers is impossible. Press F2 to select all army units. Hold ctrl and left click a unit on the screen to select all units of a type. (for example, marines). Select all the units on the screen that you would like, hold control, and left click a unit icon in the wireframe (bottom center of screen) to select all units of a type (for example, marines). Select all the units on the screen that you would like, hold control and shift, and left click a unit icon in the wireframe to deselect all units of a type (for example, workers).
