In 2004, the U.S. President's daughter Ashley Graham, was abducted by a mysterious cult and U.S. Government Agent Leon S. Kennedy is tasked with a mission to rescue her. Leon has to travel to a rural village in Spain, where he encounters the local villagers who are devoted to Los Iluminados, the cult that is responsible for Ashley's abduction. Upon Leon's investigation of the villagers, they become very hostile and appear to be infected by a mind-controlling parasite known as Las Plagas.
