Mini CD-Rs : 23 Minutes of Fun : Retro Tech Review

Do you remember mini CD-Rs? I burned a number of these back in the day. Some of you may be wondering, what was the point of these tiny blank CDs? What did people use them for? Watch the video and find out! These tiny blank CDs were very portable and compact. There were a number of reasons why someone would choose one of these over a regular 80 minute blank CD. I will explore a view of these reasons in the video. As far as I know, these mini recordable compact discs are no longer manufactured. If they are still being made somewhere in the world, please leave a comment and let us know! I recall hearing horror stories about people trying to insert these mini CDs in their car stereo systems. Needless to say, that never ended well. Did you use mini CD-Rs back in the day? Why did you use them? How did you use them? Did you listen to them in your old CD walkman? Did you ever buy pre-recorded mini CDs? I own one mini compact disc that I bought in a local music store back in the late 80s. I must try to find it. I think there was 4 songs on it. If you are into retro technology, this is the channel for you. I post videos that focus on everything from tape decks, to CD players, to reel to reel, laser discs, VCRs, old video games, vintage cameras, lenses, vinyl, analog synthesizers, drum machines, home recording, vintage cassettes, home studio gear and so much more. If this is your thing, please subscribe to the channel!
