Half-Life 2 is, of course, a first-person shooter that changed gaming forever. Or is it? An argument could be made that it's more of a first-person movie. Or perhaps survival horror, in the footsteps of Resident Evil. In any event, in this video, I play through the first two chapters (Point Insertion and Red Letter Day) with my usual lack of skill, competence, or anything interesting to say, while reminiscing about the first time I played it, lo those many years ago, and all the things Valve did well... and poorly.
