Alistair Versus Loghain
Alistair faces Loghain in a duel to decide the leader of Fereldan. It is an uneven match; the young Alistair is outclassed by the veteran Loghain. The Teyrn is a horrifyingly powerful warrior. It's no wonder that most players avoid choosing Alistair to fight the Teyrn, unless one does it at Easy difficulty, or builds Alistair up specifically for this duel. It also doesn't help that Alistair's specialization (Templar) is absolutely useless against Loghain, too. So I optimise Alistair as much as possible for this fight. Here, he's in the Blood Dragon Armor set, with Bergen's Honor as the helmet. Shield: the Fade Wall. His sword is the Keening Blade (inset runes=Grandmaster Flame Rune, Master Lightning Rune, and Journeyman Paralysis Rune). Loghain is a human Champion in very heavy armor, hits hard, has high Physical Resistance (though my own Dwarf Warrior can easily knock him down due to phenomenal Strength), and does his very best to smash foes to the ground. This fight isn't too hard if done right; Alistair stuns and paralyzes him with successive use of his abilities and his enchanted sword, then executes him.
