GIDE 2013 Ljubljana - Marie Leen Ryckaert
http://www.yinyang.si | http://www.vsd.si | GIDE -- Group for International Design Education -- is an international consortium of higher education design schools, which work together in order to enrich the experience of students in the areas of 3D, architecture and interior design, and now also includes specialisms in industrial and interaction design, and art and design (interdisciplinary) practice. GIDE was founded in 2OO3 and the group consists of seven main partner colleges in Scotland, Slovenia, England, Belgium, Germany, Italy and Switzerland. GIDE'S main objectives are to promote the exchange of design ideas and cultural experiences across the European Union and beyond. Internationalisation is not only an experience of some exchange students and staff, but should influence all the school's students and staff. The main methods used to create this kind of influence on a school population are innovative transnational design projects in the areas of 3D, architectural and interior design, and the exchanges of students and teaching staff between its member institutions and other (Erasmus) partner schools.
