Mini Backyard Apple Orchard Progress - Growing Apples From Seed In The City
I have always wanted an apple orchard. In this video, you will see my mini backyard apple orchard progress so far. I am growing apples from seed and from grafted apple trees I bought at a local farmer's market. Growing apples in the city is difficult, but I am growing apples in my backyard and doing the best I can with what I have. When the trees were planted, a handful of composted sheep manure and leaf mold compost was added to each planting hole to increase soil nutrition and microbial activity. These trees are watered deeply about once a week during the summer, just until they get established and develop a strong root system. They are fertilized with Miracle Gro liquid feed a few times throughout the season. Follow me to see how I am growing apples in the yard, and learn how to grow apples in your backyard. Apple varieties I am growing: -Gala (grown from seed) -Dwarf McIntosh -Dwarf Courtland If you would like a tutorial on how I planted these apple trees, be sure to let me know by leaving a comment in the Comments section. I am very happy with my mini backyard apple orchard so far, and will be doing lots more update videos on my apple trees and other fruit trees I plant in my yard. ✅STAY CONNECTED: ►Subscribe - https://goo.gl/bH1nqP ►Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/lucasgrowsbest/ ►Twitter - https://twitter.com/LucasGrowsBest Thank You for watching!
