Largest Northern Pike I Caught So Far 38 1/2 Inches
Wind was North West, pretty calm. Sunny and 60 degrees F. The surface water temperature was about 72 degrees F. I was trying for Walleys and Bass, but they just didn't want to bite. The diving rattle crank bait i used is made by Storm, don't remember it name. I tried a bunch of other baits, but didn't do much. I did get a 14 1/2 inch Smally on a minnow shaped popper just before leaving, maybe the topwater hits were going to start, but i had to go. I'm thinking that bait worked well because a cold front is moving in and the fish were moving deeper. I love catching Northern Pike and they put a great battle on sometimes, this one did.
