Lollipop, Lollipop ohhhh Lolli, Lolli, Lollipop, budububudu. I think the song goes like that but I am not exactly sure. If you know any better let me know in the comment section down below. So without further ado lets jump right into the tutorial. INGRIDIENTS: cake, binder (frosting, cream cheese, buttercream), white candy coating, paramount crystals EQUIPMENT: baking sheet, microwave, microwave-safe bowl, 1 mixing bowl, baking sheet, 1 container for dipping (I use 4 inches tall café latte drinking glasses), 1,5 inch round cookie cutter, cake pop sticks, styrofoam block, wooden ministicks, paper cones, toothpicks, paper towel, plastic wrap, brush for painting, “Metallic Red” Metallic Food Paint by Rainbow Dust, “Iced Blue” Glitter by Rainbow Dust (The Sparkle Range), white cake decoration by PME BAKE IT! Preferably the day before. The cake has time to cool completely what really helps to shape the cake pops perfectly. SHAPE IT! I love to work with a cold, frigde temperated dough. It makes shaping easy and it looks much better. So let the dough rest in the fridge for a couple of hours. Before starting knead the dough shortly. Then roll out the dough to about 0,5 inch layer and cut out as many circles as you need. Fix parts you don`t really like right away. The dough sets and dries out so the fixing becomes a bit more difficult. Then place the cake pops on a baking sheet and covered them with plastic wrap. DIP IT! Melt your candy coating by following the instruction given on the package. Candy wafers are a bit tricky and sticking to the instruction is key. Dip your lollipop stick about ¼ of an inch into the melted candy coating and push the stick halfway through the cake pop. The cake pop and candy coating should have similar temperature to avoid cracking of the coating. Then dip the cake pops completely and make sure that everything is covert nicely and evenly. While the coating is still wet use a toothpick to get rid of the air bubbles. Let it dry. DECORATE IT! For the first lollipop you only need a brush and the red metallic color. Just paint a nice looking swirl and you are good to go. For the second lollipop cake pop dye the cake pop with the red metallic paint and let it dry for some minutes. Then fill some white candy coating into a paper cone and draw a swirl on the cake pop. While the coating is still wet sprinkles the white decoration on top of it. MORE TIPS&TRICKS!
