Hosted at LaunchPad Lab, Jonathan 'Wolf' Rentzsch talks about the tech behind Tonic, including the extensions made to React to be even more purely functional. Tonic is a better REPL for Node.js, built using React. It's a faster way to bang out throw-away code (we've downloaded all of NPM for you so can just immediately require() any package). But it goes beyond normal transient REPLs with automatic saving and sharing. Plus we've included other goodies like built-in data visualizers, ES7 async/await and, uhm, time travel.
