RELO Bangkok Webinar: Cooperative Learning: Using Role Cards in Groups

Presenter: Allison Orr Description: This webinar will introduce a teaching technique that focuses on cooperative, small-group learning using role cards. An increasing body of literature shows that cooperative group-work promotes not only learning but also socializing. Participants will learn how using role cards in cooperative group-work can create a sense of structure that allows each student to actively participate, engage in discussion, and efficiently complete a project or task. In the second half of this webinar, participants will practice using role cards in two multimodal activities. Finally, participants will reflect on the benefits of role cards and discuss ways role cards can be adapted into their own classrooms.
