Talk Title: Horticulture and the Path to Farming 4.0 Precision Farming, Farming 4.0, Digital Agriculture – you hear these terms used frequently and interchangeably more and more recently, but what do they really mean? In this talk I’ll discuss what Farming 4.0 means to G’s Growers, one of the UK’s largest fresh produce growers and an industry leader in Innovative farming techniques. Iain will discuss some of our past innovative projects like mobile packhouses, our current projects from the last five years from growth modelling to remote sensing, and our ambitions going forward in the areas of robotics and individual plant management. This talk is part of the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training -- Agriforwards CDT (CAMBRIDGE) series.
