CHRISCON'22 RECAP - The Story of the One and Only CHRISCON Action Figure Convention!!!! #chriscon22
***SAVE THE DATE! CHRISCON'23 WILL BE SUNDAY, JULY 30, 2023!!!! SAME LOCATION TAUNTON, MA*** Here is my recap video for CHRISCON'22 - the Action Figure Convention that our group of collector friends organized and put on in Taunton, MA, on July 31, 2022. This was a convention FOR COLLECTORS, BY COLLECTORS! This year, Chris took a leap of faith and rented the Clarion Hotel ballroom hoping that enough people would come to fill it up. And they did! For four hours, that ballroom was packed full of collectors sharing their love of action figures, toy photography, dioramas, customizing, and collecting. what an amazing time! If you were looking to add to your collection, wee had over 20 vendors there, including @Mythic Customs and @Valaverse . One whole side of the ballroom was set aside for toy photography with over over thirty diorama backdrops setup free for attendees to use. We also set up an epic Haslab Sentinel vs. X-men battle scene and diorama displays for NECA figures and Star Wars Black Series figures. We held a Marvel Legends build-a-figure swap, and we held contests for the best custom figure and the best diorama. Throughout the show, Chris kept the energy up with interactive games, trivia, raffle giveaways, and then closed the show with a heartfelt talk about collecting, friendship, and the joy of sharing this hobby with others. It was an amazing time!
