'Capitalism vs. Democracy'. III: War Cycles
Part III of the film 'Capitalism vs. Democracy'. The film studies the economic ecosystem in which humans and metal memes evolve together since the beginning of civilization in a relationship of symbiosis and mutual predation. In Part I, 'Overproduction', we described the real causes of the III global crisis of capitalism - the overproduction of memes of metal - weapons, money and machines that compete and atrophy human memes and life beings; In Part II, 'The Issue of Money' we described according to system sciences the solutions and structure of a real working superorganism of history - a democracy as opposed to a capitalist system ruled by the 'usual suspects', corporations, the military-industrial complex and bankers and narrated the failure of democracies to reform capitalism in the post II world war era. Why capitalism being the worst system has triumphed as a 'culture' of greed and violence - the true values of money and weapons, selfish memes of metal that have their own evolutionary agenda - is narrated in part III: Part III 'War and Go(l)d vs. Love' in 2 Utube Installments introduces the wider view of the cycles of history, when instead of machines memes of metal had only two components, energetic weapons and informative money. Both are part of a biological ecosystem the Earth, with two species, sometimes symbiotic, sometimes in predatory relationship: man and the tree of life and metal and the tree of science. In the context of the cycles of evolution and overproduction of memes of metal, weapons, money and machines that have shaped history, part VI considers the long 800 year cycles of evolution of weapons that have killed rhythmically civilizations since the end of the Neolithic Till the age of the machine that accelerates the rhythm. Both cycles, the slow age of evolution of weapons and the fast age of evolution of machines are related.. History is no longer immortal. The cycles of war now will accelerate the evolution of 'memes of metal'; while the saviors of mankind, the prophets of the tree of life will be ignored... In this installment we narrate the cycles of war brought about by the cultures of gold and weapons. In the next installment we shall consider how the prophets of love, precursors of democracy, tried to reform the system and failed.
