This show begins our coverage from the Miami Boat show! We are talking with Brad and Virgil from Earth NC about their iPad app. EarthNC allows you to view NOAA charts on your iPad along with many other features. It has detailed information about navigation aids as well as marina's and other points of interest. In addition you can create and follow routes and drop waypoints which can then be used for a route. EarthNC takes a unique approach to iPad navigation using a raster chart for the chart display with additional vector style data overlayed in order to display features such as navaids, point's of interest, wrecks and other objects. Additionally, EarthNC can also use USGS topo maks, Cloudmade Road Maps or Google Satellite images as the mase map which is nice when you need to merge the nautical world with other parts of your trip.
