[OUTDATED] Quake Enhanced: Horde Mode, Nightmare Difficulty, All Maps, 1k+ Score
THIS VIDEO SHOWS GAMEPLAY FROM BEFORE PATCH 3. Horde mode was changed substantially in harder difficulties when patch 3 was released, including allowing for boss-type enemies to spawn in early waves. For this reason, this video and its score should be considered obsolete. I'm by no stretch good at this game, but it was a goal of mine for a while to get a score of over a thousand on each horde mode map. Even if I can't stream right now, playing games is still really fun. 0:05 Tower of the Apprentice 8:45 Frozen Court 12:27 The Foundry 27:12 The Hunt I used a few strategies in this video: -Pickups don't get replaced if they're already spawned, so if you don't pick up things like ammo or health, they can't get replaced by other (possibly better) pickups. Because of this, sometimes I swap to shotgun or nailgun to get rid of their ammo and maybe get more rockets. -Waves/Rounds come in sets of 3, the first one is comprised of Grunts, Dogs, and Enforcers. The second is Knights, Scrags, Zombies, and Death Knights. The third is the same as the second, but with either two Fiends, a Shambler, or a Vore added for each set you've completed. Because the first wave is comprised of mostly weak enemies, waiting for a few of them to spawn then using the nailgun or explosives to get consistent kills seems like a great way to rack up large bonuses. -Monster infighting helps a lot in later rounds. Ogre, Vore, and Death Knight attacks are easy to bait into other enemies, and you may do it incidentally while training a large amount of enemies into a group.
