Horrible Histories locations at the Chiltern Open Air Museum
How many can you recognise? All photos of the museum buildings are mine except the photos of the granary (Dick Turpin song) which are from the museum's website. All other pictures and all the songs are from the Horrible Histories show (series 1-5). I wanted to include information about the buildings in the video but it was too fiddly, so for anyone interested here are the buildings in order of appearance: 1- wood and iron chapel from 1886 2- replica Iron Age roundhouse, built in the 1990s 3- Vicarage room, 1896 4- Victorian toll house, 1826 5- granary, 1802 6- postwar prefab, 1947 7- WW2 Nissen hut 8- 18th century barn, converted into two cottages 9- public toilets from 1906 (yep, they're actually Edwardian!) 10- barn from c. 1500 11- Astleham Manor Cottage, built in the 16th century and expanded in the late 17th/early 18th century 12- cottage from the 1840s There is more info on their website :)
