Do You Know How Many Copies of the SMN2 Gene You Have?

In this episode of the Morale Monologue, I’m discussing why the number of copies of the SMN2 gene we have in our bodies matters. Everybody will have a different number of copies. The more we have, the better off we will be with regard to muscle wasting and weakness. If you don’t know how many copies you have, be sure to contact either your neurologist or your PCP to ask.
