In Lakeshore City, the game starts out with the Player refurbishing an old junker car from Rydells Rydes. A mechanic shop owned by Rydell, and where you and Yaz have been working at for the whole summer. One night, after a couple races. You do a delivery mission only to find no car there, and Yaz not answering your calls, but the alarm went off at Rydells Rides.
