Happymodel 1103 8000kv 65mm Toothpick Quad w/ lots of Acro and 7 minute flight
Warning: long, boring, uneventful flight. Just want to put this on record. Here is the important settings. Its a slider tune, so these should assume slider values in the configurator. This is for RPM FILTERING. If you dont use rpm filtering, keep an eye out for fly-to-moon events with airmode on and motor heat . You can replace both filter sliders (in pids/filters) to 0.0 for safety without rpm filtering as well. Settings below are for betaflight 4.2.x with RPM telemetry enabled on the escs (read comment in code please). I would save your existing 'diff all' if you're already on 4.2, then type 'defaults' before entering this code and then 'save'. Finally, you'll need to set up your rxranges and receiver stuff and modes and what not, most of which you can pull from the diff all. set gyro_lowpass_hz = 0 set gyro_lowpass2_hz = 0 set dyn_notch_width_percent = 0 set dyn_notch_q = 250 set dyn_notch_min_hz = 100 set dyn_notch_max_hz = 350 set dyn_lpf_gyro_min_hz = 0 set dyn_lpf_gyro_max_hz = 1000 set dshot_idle_value = 700 ### Delete following line if not using rpm filtering. ALSO, move both filter sliders back to 0.0 on the pids-filters sections of configurator. set dshot_bidir = ON ### set motor_pwm_protocol = DSHOT300 set motor_poles = 12 set thrust_linear = 25 profile 0 # profile 0 set dyn_lpf_dterm_min_hz = 105 set dyn_lpf_dterm_max_hz = 255 set dterm_lowpass2_hz = 225 set vbat_sag_compensation = 100 set throttle_boost = 3 set p_pitch = 55 set i_pitch = 72 set f_pitch = 38 set p_roll = 50 set i_roll = 68 set d_roll = 36 set f_roll = 36 set p_yaw = 54 set i_yaw = 72 set f_yaw = 36 set level_limit = 60 set d_min_roll = 0 set d_min_pitch = 0 set idle_min_rpm = 45 rateprofile 0 # rateprofile 0 set rates_type = QUICK set roll_srate = 72 set pitch_srate = 72 set yaw_srate = 72 set tpa_rate = 40 set tpa_breakpoint = 1250 So, I had this extra RDQ 450mah 2s battery sitting on my charger at the end of the day after testing a new build that has 11000kv motors on it (not what you're seeing here). Since it's not quite fun to fly yet, I was going to discharge this pack a little but decided to pop it on my 65mm toothpick with Happymodel EX1103 8000kv motors on an hx100se frame with Crazybee v2.0 and HQ T65 biblade props (this is the quad in this video). This quad I normally fly on 300s or 350s, as its not a big amp draw quad (10ish amps at peak) and I normally get about 5 minutes anyway, but WOW 7 minutes of pretty hard acro and I could barely feel the extra weight. I actually started getting bored, lol. Motors came down cool as always. Funny thing is, this quad is actually on the bench slated for scavenging for my new build (I'm gonna feed these motors 3s!). I think I'll put the 11000kv motors on this ultralight frame instead.
