Mt Sumeru, Where Are you? | September 21, 2022

Ahh, Mt Sumeru... the mysterious Lonely Mountain of Lord Of The Rings?... Truth in movies, I say; Land of the Dwarves... Mt Sumeru is legend, and I propose it is where the North Pole lies. It is why our compasses point north, and it is the Axis Mundi of our world. It lies at the center of Mercator's map, and it is the interior point of what once was the grandest tree in Yggdrasil. It's now a stump represented by mountains, I guess. Four rivers enter the interior of the tree and combine to create a whirlpool at the center, that flow around the iron mountain.
