For Roger, Sending 80k to my wife in the Philippines but i can't see my child.
This is my personal advise, for others please advise him. What is my wife's problem or am I the problem? She says my daugther wants to talk to me, but each time that I do accept her calls here in the US. My daughter is off doing something else or doesn't seem interested in talking to me unless her mom is coaching her what to say. She spoils my daughter all the time. Scenario: So for a long time now (3 years consistently and 1 year inconsistently), I have been sending approximately 80k pesos a month to my wife in pinas who is currently residing in Laguna manila. Let me breakdown why its 80k:(note this is all in US dollars) US $500 for car US $350 for 2 story 2 bedroom apartment US $350 for bills cable, power, etc..etc US $200 for groceries US $400 for misc expenses. Where did we get married: In manila. Cost of marriage there was 900k pesos What is our current marriage status: Recently separated. What is happening now: I do send money atleast to support my daughter for food. But I do not send that much money anymore since I recently bought a home here in the US and the bills here are way too much now. What are my frustrations: She always calls me only when payday week to remind me to send money. When I ask her to send a video and pic or my daughter. She doesn't send one until i get mad or I am late with the payments. She always tries to find ways to spend more money. Like to enroll my daughter in international school and pay for tuition for a year. While she is almost approved for a US petition. I ask her why do you want to enroll in an international school when you are about to leave pinas. I asked what if we paid for the whole year. She says there is no refund. then I lose out on the money. The one that has ticked me off the most recently was one I told her to save money since I have to pay for her and my daughter's flight to US when the petition is approved. What does she do. Leaves her current apartment and moves in a NICE HOME which she says cost the same as the apartment she was in. When I ask why she couldn't find a less expensive place. She says there wasn't one available. Only homes that are 15k rent and over are available. I was like WHAT.. no places cheaper at 6-7k pesos. The reason why is because the petition was almost about to go thru so I didn't want anymore expenses. But AGAIN, she always finds a way to spend money without thinking about the consequences. I tried to petition her 2 years ago, but her excuse was that the baby was still young and she couldn't handle her while on the plane and in the US alone. So for 3 yrs I paid for a yaya/maid. Now this current petition I have I am no longer pursuing. Since I think it will not work here in the US when she is here. I can see now, she is not concerned for me. But for her self only. She doesn't see what she is doing wrong to me. She thinks she is always right and I am wrong for once. Mira there are alot more things she has done. But to make a long story short. I guess I already know the answer. But I really would like to hear it from a smart filipina like yourself. I have a big heart and the only reason why I kept sending the money i did for 4 years is because of my daughter. I love my daughter so much. But now, all my saving have been depleted. And it pisses me off that i have a feeling there are guys she is getting her money that I contributed to that as well. I guess I always knew something was going on there. But since I was soo busy here in the states trying to make money to support two places to stay and feed myself and them. I really had to work my butt off.
