The Best WordPress Hosting? 3 Year Kinsta Review

Today, I want to talk about Kinsta, THE managed WordPress hosting. I want to share my perspective and experience using it since 2018 for our websites and building websites for clients. Kinsta: https://bit.ly/3csY6U3 Kinsta Blog: https://bit.ly/3eg298C Basic Features: https://bit.ly/2OxDP7h Advanced Features: https://bit.ly/3quVUAj Siteground: https://bit.ly/3eipZR6 -- Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/b.gazizoff/ Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/BGazizoff/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/b.gazizoff Website: https://b.gazizoff.com Gazizoff Digital: https://gazizoff.com For business or one-on-one marketing: hello@gazizoff.com. *Some of the links and other products that appear in this video might be from companies which I earn an affiliate commission or referral bonus. -- # Why should we even care about hosting? 1. Hosting is the foundation of our websites. If something goes wrong with it, it enables a chain reaction. The server is not responding or too slow, people can't go on our site, we lose money. 2. As website developers, entrepreneurs, and marketers we want efficiency; we don't want to spend more time or money than we need to. We need reliability, efficiency, and overall value. # Value You get incredible speed and performance, premium content delivery network, caching, 24 data centers from Google Cloud, staging websites, security, daily backups, and more. But do we need it all, and are they actually worth $30 – $1500 a month? Yes and yes; it's what we need, and it's worth the price. In the digital age, these features aren't nice to have anymore, they are must-haves if we want to succeed online. We used to pay about 3x more to use third-party tools, just to get it to what Kinsta offers out of the box. All their features are standard on all plans. The only difference is the number of installs, disk space, visits, and PHP workers. # Saving time and money As a marketing and web development agency, we care about efficiency. Every extra minute or hour we spend on developing and managing websites, we lose time, which we could be spending on another project. Before Kinsta, we spent hours and even days setting up the hosting just to get it to what Kinsta offers. # Dashboard They made it so easy, my wife, who doesn't know anything about hosting, has launched a website on Kinsta in less than 10 minutes. There are tooltips and links everywhere. So if even if you don't know something, you will find your way. Though it's easy to use, it packs a lot of Pro features. They have Kinsta APM for performance monitoring, IP deny, Debugging tool, New Relic monitoring, and much more. # Speed and performance Most of the websites we've built, load in less than a second. Even the biggest, heaviest ones usually have 1.2-2 second load time. # Security Security was the first reason I considered and started using Kinsta. WordPress isn't the most secure, so we always had security issues, but they were manageable. We've always taken security seriously, and we've vetted the plugins we used. But, in 2018, a lot of our client websites got malware. Some of them were e-commerce sites with paid traffic. Our hosting provider at that time told us to use Securi, which would've cost us $4K to $10K for something we shouldn't even have issues with in the first place. That was an expensive mistake. With Kinsta, we haven't had a single issue in 3 years. # Kinsta is super fast When PHP 8 was announced, Kinsta had it almost immediately, where most others, to this date, are still on PHP 7.4. # It's about how they make you feel. In the beginning, I was excited just to log in to Kinsta. Maybe it was because of the positive contrast between Kinsta and what I used before, or I was just happy how easy and fast things became. The excitement faded away with time; I started taking it for granted. Until we had to move a client from another hosting to Kinsta. Going from Kinsta's dashboard to C-Panel/other dashboards feels like going from the newest iPhone to the first generation iPhone. # Support I haven't seen better support anywhere. It feels like you message a friend who genuinely cares about you. Before Kinsta, I hated contacting customer service. They made me feel stupid, they were slow; I had to spend hours on the phone and would still not get the answer. The most I've waited on Kinsta chat was 2 minutes. They get straight to the point as well as go above and beyond to help me; I always feel that they have my back. # But not everything about Kinsta is perfect: 1. You can't host your emails. 2. It's built for WordPress only. 3. There is no in-browser File Manager. 4. The basic plan gets you 2 PHP workers, which Kinsta says is not ideal for e-commerce. # Who is Kinsta for? In my opinion, it's for everyone serious about their online business and presence. We use it as an agency to build websites for all types of clients, from local businesses through e-commerce to complex enterprise websites.
