Rendering Lecture 4 - Monte Carlo Integration II
This lecture belongs to the computer graphics rendering course at TU Wien. In this lecture we cover the sampling of a circle, the hemisphere, explain how to warp uniformly distributed samples to any desired distribution, show the application on ambient occlusion and direct light rendering, and explain how to use sampling patterns (stratified and Halton) to reduce the error. The course website and slides are here: https://www.cg.tuwien.ac.at/courses/Rendering/VU.SS2020.html
