Armored Core Verdict Day - i5 10400F vs i7 11700K (95W PL1) - RPCS3 June 2023
Had a chance to compare these 2 CPUs while emulating Armored Core: Verdict Day on PC via RPCS3 11700K is limited to 95W PL1 due to my cooling system being undersized for this CPU's full potential. Thus, the i7 performs closer to a plain 11700 While the i7 doesn't achieve a locked 30 FPS at all time under these conditions, it greatly increases the smoothness of the presented frames, compared to the i5 (see frame time graph) Subjectively, I think that the game is currently "barely playable" on a 10th gen i5, "playable" on 11th gen i7 and "almost perfect" on an 11700K with unlocked power limits and beefy cooling
