On a Sunday morning walk, the older group is out in force exercising, and it reminds me of the famous Soviet children's movie when four old people exchange bodies for four kids.So autumn weather has returned, and we'll take a neighborhood walk. Golden, mellow fall days, sober and melancholy; a quiet seems to hush the earth, and the birds have long fled south, except the ravens, sparrows, and pigeons.Maybe as I am growing older now myself, the autumn is an old friend; the darker later mornings too have a plus, as the dogs are tricked into thinking it is still night and don't paw my pillow at an unmerciful hour to go for their morning walk.At church too, a beautiful quiet cave exists with candles lit all around. And the pull into winter holds no remorse as the yearly cycle of life spins in harmony.
