Scarborough Fair - recorder quartet
This is an arrangement I made of the traditional tune "Scarborough Fair," for four like C instruments: recorder quartet, flute quartet, oboe quartet, or any combination thereof. This version includes several rounds of the recognizable melody, as well as harmony lines, an ornate obligato, and the appearance of a key change without actually changing keys. ;-) This version is suitable for beginner to intermediate ensembles, with one phrase of 16th-note arpeggios for the more advanced player seeking a challenge. Recorded March 2013 using a Blue Snowball microphone, standard webcam, and free software on a basic laptop.
