This is video #028 in my playthrough of Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation for the Nintendo Switch. Dragon Quest III [Switch] Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIZ8kn0xML26iKMK_91rOUZf3YP6CtCNb Previously, the party continued exploring the realm of Alefgard. They visited Rimuldar, Cantlin, and Damdara. They found the Orichalcum in Damdara and took it to Kol to get the Sword of Kings. Now, the party will climb the Tower of Rubiss on the island northwest of Kol. Alltrades Abbey: The party resumes at Alltrades Abbey. They Zoom to Kol. Alefgard (time 0:57): The party goes west from Kol and boards their ship. They sail a little bit northwest and disembark to enter the tower. Tower of Rubiss (time 2:03): The party has reached the Tower of Rubiss. Liquid Metal Slimes appear among the enemies here. The party starts on floor 1F. North of the entrance, there are damage floors in the entrance hall. At the first intersection, they go north to find a room with two chests. The western chest is a Mimic. Oh, dear. The eastern chest contains 1,016 gold. The party goes west. At the intersection, they continue west to find two doors. They go out the southern door to find an NPC. He tells them about the annoying fuddling tiles in this place. At the previous intersection, the party goes south. In the southwestern room, they ascend the stairs. The party has reached floor 2F. This is where they begin encountering the fuddling tiles. When the party is standing on this tile, the player's control pad is rotated. If the light-colored arrow points east, then pressing up will move the party east. If the light-colored arrow points west, then pressing up will move the party west. The party goes north and east to the central room. There are lots of fuddling tiles and damage floors here, as well as chests. Among the northern chests, the southwestern chest is a Mimic. The other chests in this cluster contain a Strength Ring, Mini Medal #099, and 960 gold. The southern chests contain a Care Ring, a Seed of Life, a Stormlord's Sword, and a Seed of Life. From the central room, the party goes east and north to find a stairway. They go up it. The party reaches floor 3F. They go south. In the southeast corner, they go up a stairway. The party reaches floor 4F. From the southeast corner, they go north past the first intersection. They go west when they reach a ledge with some fuddling tiles. At the western end of this ledge, they open a chest for a suit of Auroral Armour. Davilas the Hero equips this. The party drops off the ledge into the central hallway of floor 3F. On the floor, they find Mini Medal #100 on the ground near the pair of skulls. They go south to the main corridor. Then, they Evac out of the dungeon. Alefgard (time 10:07): They Zoom to Aliahan. Overworld (time 10:14): They enter Aliahan. Aliahan (time 10:18): The party rests at the inn. Then, they visit the Mini Medal Manor and turn in their latest haul. For hitting the 100 Mini Medal milestone, they earn the game's best whip, the Gringham Whip. It seems this is the last of the prizes available. Thanks a bunch for the goodies, Mini Medal master. Davilas the Hero equip the Gringham Whip and passes the Dragontail Whip down to Serena the Sage. The party Zooms back to Kol. At the southwest corner, they turn north. Serena the Sage reaches Level 35. She learns the Mage spell Click, which opens locked doors. Pretty useful in the NES version, which did not have the Bag, but it is kind of superfluous now. In the northwest corner, the party opens the chest for Mini Medal #101. East of the chest, there are fuddling tiles at the opening in the wall. The party must drop north and outside. They land outside the northern entrance to the tower on floor 1F. They go south into the northern hall. To the west, they go upstairs. The party reaches the northern hall on floor 2F. There are some fuddling tiles to the east, so the party must carefully proceed east. They go up the stairs to the east. They reach the northeast room on 3F. They ascend the nearby stairs. The party reaches the northern hall on 4F. There are no fuddling tiles to worry about on the corridor leading west. The party goes up the stairway. The description is continued in the comments.
