Final Fantasy 8 - very decent training grounds
https://www.patreon.com/ulillillia --- Uploaded on Jan 5, 2009 I'm always after them - places where you can get experience for leveling up as fast as possible. First it was the forests around the starting area (thanks to the dino offering a challenge), then it was Balamb's training center which was about twice as fast on average, and now its this place which is, on average, 80% faster than the training center. It's so fast that each battle is almost worth a whole level, though the battles take about 50% longer. I once got over 1400 EXP on Irvine because of it and in another case, two levels in a single battle. Wow! This enemy is not as tough as it seems. First, silence lefty so he, essentially, can't do anything. Next, silence vysage. This'll get you in good standing right away. Don't bother silencing righty - it only uses physical attacks. First, defeat vysage since, even though he's silenced, he can still use curse (which adds doom) and sigh (which does a lot of damage to all characters). With vysage gone, get rid of righty next followed by lefty. For best results, instead of casting silence, use status attack. This enemy is also weak against holy so junction that to elemental attack (I got mine from Diablos, along with flare). I only do it on Irvine (then Rinoa) so he can defeat the enemy and get bonus EXP for faster leveling. I use Squall to weaken the enemy to make this faster (since he does a lot of damage) and Selphie is used for support. Note Selphie's magic stat and how much HP is restored with the basic cure spell (and think about what curaga would do). Once Irvine reaches level 100, I swap him for the other weakling, Rinoa, and I keep going. I get over 1200 EXP in the first battle!
