Christ Heals the Leper - St. Severus of Antioch

On the second Sunday of Great Lent, we remembered Christ's healing of the Leper. This is one of the hymns composed by Mor Severios of Antioch about the healing. ⬇️ Full Quote ⬇️ // Rahem 'alay moryo methul-d khree no. "Have mercy upon me, Lord, for I am sick" - The leper, O Christ, cried, "Lord, if You will, You can cleanse me", and as he spoke, You stretched forth Your hand full of help toward him, and having touched him, You said in Your mercy - "I am willing. Be cleansed." And You caused the affliction of his leprosy to flee from him, and thereby You showed that You are one and indivisible, in that You did both command in a manner befitting God and touch in human fashion as a man. And by the touch of the hand and the word worked one and the same divine action. And on this account, we beg of You - O Lord, touch our minds and cleanse it from all stain and spot of sin and have mercy upon us. // + St. Severus the Great (+AD 538) + 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲: St. Severus of Antioch, "James of Edessa: The Hymns of Severus of Antioch and Others." 𝘗𝘢𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘪𝘢 𝘖𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴, Translated by E.W. Brooks, ed. VI.1. 1911. May God bless all of you!
