Let's Go WILD - EPISODE 8
Welcome to Let’s Go WILD – where we talk about how to Walk In Love Daily with God, with ourselves and with others. ►Subscribe to This Is The Day on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCahc... ►Follow Karen Camp: https://www.instagram.com/karencamp12 https://www.facebook.com/karen.e.camp ► Website: http://thisistheday.org ► Email: kcamp12@gmail.com Video directed and edited by Karen Camp (@karencamp1122) & Annabelle Camp (@Annabelle.camp) Over the past few episodes, I have shared with you MY thoughts on the importance of captivating YOUR thoughts. As a recap… Our thoughts have an amazing about of influence on our lives, they can make us feel powerful, worthy and enough and then in the flip of a switch, they can make us feel weak, worthless and invaluable. This is why Satan tries his darnedest to jump in our heads and screw things up! It’s one thing for me to share with you my thoughts on it all, but I think it can be even more powerful when people your age give their thoughts on it all. I have an amazing group of girls, my WILD girls is what I call them, who are willing to give their input on questions I send out. **side note – if you want to be one of my WILD girls and get in on the conversations behind the scenes to share your thoughts with me, send me an email through the link in the description box below** The question I sent out this time was “What is the thought you most often think of that is negative towards yourself?” The responses were hard to read – my heart hurt for you all. Let me just say that MS and HS can be rough and our thoughts tend to mostly revolve around the negative. **side note – PSSST!!! It can even be this way as an adult!!** We can get consumed thinking about what everyone else may be thinking about us. We can feel inadequate, never good enough, not pretty enough, too big, too small – it can be crazy overwhelming, right?! Everyone, just take a deep breath in…and let it out… **side note – literally breath in and out** There are a couple of truths I want to share with you that hopefully will help you reign in those negative thoughts and allow you to replace them with WILD ones. For those of you who feel like you are never enough or that you can’t seem to do anything right, please know that God loves you unconditionally. It is not that He ignores your weaknesses or screwups and only sees this perfect little angel. No, it’s that He offers you Grace and Forgiveness and says that in your weakness, He is strong. He is who can help you overcome your feelings of inadequacy. He is who can help you make better choices. It’s allowing Him to be a part of your everyday life. For those of you who’s negative thoughts revolve around your size. A friend of mine said this years ago and it has stuck with me. Fat is an object you have on your body just like toenails are an object you have on your body. You have toenails but you don’t ever hear someone say, “I am so toenails!”. That’s because you have toenails but they are not your identity…you have fat, but fat is not who you are! There were only 2 girls who told me they don’t have negative thoughts about themselves. One said that she is who she is and can’t change that, so she just thinks positive thoughts about herself. The other one said that she doesn’t look for flaws in herself, she does her own thing and avoids the drama. I hope this helps you believe that you can learn to love yourself – it’s a matter of going WILD. If you feel like you need help with your thoughts and how to break free from the grasp your negative ones may have on you, please reach out to me through the email below. My challenge for you this week is to be an encourager of someone this week. Tell someone they are doing a good job or how much they mean to you. Your words may be what helps break up their negative thoughts! Thanks for watching and I will see you next week! **side note – don’t forget to LIKE, SUBSCRIBE AND SHARE this video!!** #WILD #ThisistheDay #KarenCamp
