Forge not working with Optifine on Minecraft 1.17.1? Use Fabric instead!
Okay, I've looked into this, and yes, optifine and forge will currently not work together, they are in development. (see here: https://github.com/sp614x/optifine/issues/6126 ) HOWEVER! NOT ALL IS LOST :) Apparently, it will work with fabric! I just tested it out, yup it works! You'll need: Step one: installation of fabrichttps://fabricmc.net/use/Use the Java installer and install it to your MC directory Step two: download fabric API https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/fabric-api/files/2972982 The latest version fixes the bugs Step three: Download optifabric (latest version) https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/optifabric/files Step four: Download Optifine, vr 33 https://optifine.net/downloads Its version: OptiFine HD U G9 pre33 Step four: download BSL (that's my favorite, but I'm sure anyone will work)https://bitslablab.com/bslshaders/#download Place the API, optifabric and optifine in your mod folder, and if you don't have one yet, make a shaderpack folder, and place the bsl zip file there For arguments, in the installation I used: -Xmx8G -Xms1G -XX:+UseG1GC -XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:G1NewSizePercent=20 -XX:G1ReservePercent=20 -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=25 -XX:G1HeapRegionSize=32M Let me know if it works!!! p.s here's timber mod for fabric https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/timber-mod/files #minecraft #optifine #forge #BSL
