One Principle to Rule Them All: Idempotency - Adrienne Braganza Tacke

Join us May 30th at 6:00 PM CET for this second ServerlessDays Paris Warmup session, including Adrienne’s talk and a 30min discussion panel with our serverless hosts. This session is a remote-only warmup event prior to ServerlessDays Paris main event, that will be hosted June 7th at La Bellevilloise. More information and tickets on https://paris.serverlessdays.io/ ! One Principle to Rule Them All: Idempotency - Adrienne Braganza Tacke Idempo-what? You may have heard of it, but you may not understand it as much as you should! Idempotency is the key to rerunning functions or reprocessing messages safely, something that is necessary in today's serverless applications. Come learn what idempotency has to do with good architecture, the difference between idempotent and non-idempotent retries, and discover some tools that help you implement idempotency in your own applications. You’ll leave this talk with a deeper understanding and appreciation for this tongue-twisting principle and start combing through your code with an idempotent eye. About Adrienne Adrienne is a Filipina software engineer, keynote speaker, published author of the book Coding for Kids: Python, and a LinkedIn Learning instructor who specializes in Cloud Development courses. Perhaps most important, however, is that she spends way too much money on desserts and ungodly amounts of time playing Age of Empires II.
