How To: Recording Sorce Game Video
Source Film Maker is good and all, same with replays, but you can't just record typical gameplay in L4D2 or CS with it, and replays aren't active on all TF2 servers. But, every source and GoldSrc game has demo and recording capabilities. This tutorial shows you how to utilize these source engine functions to record gameplay. While a bit more time consuming, this method doesn't have a separate program running in the background of your game and you don't have to worry about extra settings: what you see on your game is what you're recording. It records all in game sound as well, allowing you to just record any microphone audio live if you need to. Also, this is my first tutorial ever, hope it didn't suck, and if you have any tips on how to make it better, or ideas on future tutorials please inform me, I'd love to know!
