This seventh video tutorial helps the viewers to understand how PCR technique can be used in the process of cloning, to add additional nucleotides to create new restriction sites, to perform colony PCR.Also a very important application of PCR is in the process of Site -directed-Mutagenesis, where purposely point mutations, deletions and insertions can be created to study the effect of these mutations.In Sanger's as well as in Next Generation Sequencing, PCR is a crucial step. There are many more applications of PCR such as in Genotyping, Genetic testings, forensics, diagnosis of infectious diseases and in agriculture , which I will cover in Part-II.
