I bet it was epic back when the game was new and fresh though, and it still is pretty good today. The mechanics and gameplay works good, there's a few bugs here and there etc. it all wraps up into a nice decent game. But what pulls Metro 2033 ahead of all the other decent games is the storytelling. The world in metro 2033 feels good and whole, almost like a real one. It's detailed and alive and I think that's why the storytelling works so good too. It's because the story is believable. I have played Metro Last Light before and I'm looking into playing Metro Exodus. Last Light is still one of my favorite games ever and even though it's a major upgade from Metro 2033 I still wasn't disappointed in this one. Think 2020 feels bad?
