Yes you can upgrade a msata drive to m.2 / nvme.
Technically barely related to other content on the channel, but to port Artnet 2 Twinkly to MacOS, I first have to have a mac. I got one from Ebay for about $200, although after rating it, I discovered every detail in the listing was a lie, including the drive size. It came with a 240gb msata drive installed (it was listed as 500) so if I'm using this as a dev machine, I need more storage than that. In this video, I show the adapter you need. This is the third adapter I purchased as it turns out there are two sizes of msata ports, and the other one is wider. The adapter I purchased, at the time of this video, is this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FYY3H5F?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details This adapter worked better than I expected, in that the mounting screw lined up afterwards.
