Finding it, you activate it and are given a vision of the Protheans observing early humans, perhaps even helping in the evolutionary process. Back in the Normandy, you chat with Wrex about a hit he once had on an 'old friend' of his. Continuing, you receive a distress call from a nearby outpost that appears to be overrun with aliens.
