Slime Rancher - Hat Trick Achievement [v0.3.5]
If this video helped, feel free to send me some help by watching this 12 second video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMp8O2mWHh0 Also if you own Garry's Mod, I would appreciate some help by getting to 1000 thumbs up on my workshop mod: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=589402010 Achievement: Hat Trick Description: Obtain at least 3 gold plorts from a single gold slime This is an RNG heavy achievement; however, using the method depicted above, you can mitigate the RNG portion by backing up your save prior to doing the above. Step 1) Unlock the Indigo Quarry This will probably be your second area you unlock using a Slime Key. The first area is more likely to be the Moss Blanket using the Pink Gordo's Slime Key. To get a second Slime Key, there is a Tabby Gordo after the Overgrown Expansion area. You cannot get one from the Tabby Gordo between the the Slime Sea and Moss Blanket. The entrance is the cave with feral slimes in the Dry Reef near your ranch. Step 2) Stocking up Vegetables and Fruits Gold Slimes will drop Gold Plorts everytime they get hit by something (that isn't a gold plort). I don't know if other plorts forces the slime to drop plorts, but fruits will do just fine. You'll need at least 30 fruits just in case. As for vegetables, to burst a Rock Gordo, you need to feed him 75x. However, if you use Beet Hearts (a rock slime's favorite), they'll count as 2. So in the video, I used 25 carrots, so 75-25=50. Then 25 Beet Hearts (50/2=25) to fill up the Gordo. Once you fill him up, he bursts. He will spawn Rock Slimes, THREE GOLD SLIMES, and some crates. The three gold slimes are a 100% Spawn for bursting the Rock Gordo shown in the video. The first Rock Gordo inside the circular cave DOES NOT spawn three gold slimes. The reason you want to bring FRUITS is because a Rock Gordo will spawn rock slimes and rock slimes eat vegetables making it possible that they block the projectiles. Step 3) Save/Backup This will most likely require a few attempts, so unless you want to redo the entire game to repop the rock slime, I'd back up a save so you can attempt this much easier. Step 4) Do it. There's probably two approaches for this. 1) Try gold slimes one by one which I did. 2) Try all gold slimes simultaneously by spraying everywhere Good luck.
