The "alethosphere" and "lathouse" were two terms coined by Lacan in his Seminar XVII, "The Other Side of Psychoanalysis." This video puts forward a thesis that this pair of ideas was related to the ancient theme of the confidence trick, whose three terms (the Con, the Mark, and the Shill) establish a more evident bridge between our Euclidean expectations and our Projective Geometry desire.
