How to turn off Cortana in Windows 10

Cortana is essentially Microsoft's answers to Apple's Siri. Cortana has been billed as an intelligent personal assitant that uses location data, voice capture to do things from simple internet searches, setting reminders, sending texts or calls, and can even lighten the mood with jokes. Cortana is avail on windows 10, windows phone 8.1, xbox one, ios, and android.
