Sagreras - Book 2, Lesson No. 11 | Classical Guitar Study | Played by Jonathan Richter

Book 2, Lesson No.11 by Julio Sagreras is an excellent classical guitar study for guitarists at the late beginner/early intermediate level! Argentinean composer Julio Sagreras (1879-1942) is well-known for his six volumes of classical guitar studies. This piece is the eleventh lesson in Book 2 (Las Segundas Lecciones). Lesson 11 is marked "Tiempo de vals", meaning it's a moderately paced waltz-like piece in 3/4 time. This Sagreras study in the key of A minor is dark and intense! The familiar "boom-chuck-chuck" rhythm of the waltz is interspersed with accented arpeggio phrases, and two measures of octave syncopation in the middle.
