How to speed up songs for use in Guitar Hero 3
Several people have asked me how to speed up charts, so I made this. In this video, I am demonstrating how one would speed up TTFAF to 140% speed. Programs you will need: Tempo changer: http://www.mediafire.com/?6p01m21krkx335t Audacity (or some other audio editor): http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ Java JRE: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre7u7-downloads-1836441.html Using the tempo changer: 1. Put the chart that you want to change the speed of in the same folder as the tempo changer. 2. Run the tempo changer 3. Type in the name of the chart 4. Follow the steps Using audacity to change the audio: 1. Open the file in audacity 2. Highlight the entire file and then go to Effect - Change Tempo 3. Enter the desired percent change. For example, changing to 125% speed you would put 25, changing to 50% speed you would put -50, and changing to 250% speed you would put 150 4. 'Java' is not recognized as an internal or external command --- Download Java JRE from the link above 2. Badly formatted chart file --- Open the chart in notepad and where it says MusicStream = " " make sure there is a valid name of a file between the quotes. This error sometimes happens when there is an enhanced guitar part in the chart. Open the chart in feedback and delete it. The above error can also occur if the chart was formerly a mid sequence and wasn't properly converted using the chart2mid2chart converter. The song is As I Lay Dying's cover of Electric Eye
